Which companies

Two tests, both from the CRO open file: the status is “Strike Off Listed”, and the last accounts were made up to a date in 2019 or later. Health-care companies are left out.

Two routes

A company can ask to be struck off when it has stopped trading. The Registrar can also list a company that has not filed its annual returns. The open file does not say which route applies.

After the strike-off

A struck-off company is dissolved; what it still owns passes to the State. It can be restored to the register by application.

What is not here

Names of directors or any individual. Street addresses. Companies already dissolved, and companies in liquidation.
